You Can’t Use Party Chat In MW2 Multiplayer? *UPDATE*

It's do... or die...

It's do... or die...

When you attempt to join an online match in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, whilst in a party, you will be prompted with a DO OR DIE message asking you to leave your party chat and use the in-game chat.  Now personally, I like to chat with my buds playing a different game while I watch the blood of my enemies seep from their lifeless corpses, but with this system implemented you will be subjected to hardcore, talk to your teammates not your friends gameplay.  Love it or hate it, apparently that’s the way the cookie crumbles…

Me, after hearing about this.

Me, after hearing about this.

UPDATE: This blocker will only be enabled in certain game modes, I am going out on a limb and assuming the Hardcore playlists, and most likely Search and Destroy where cheating via party chat would be more relevant as opposed to Headquarters or Team Deathmatch.

I for one, absolutely love this idea. If it is implemented in the Hardcore Playlists, and ESPECIALLY Search and Destroy, I can almost forgive them for removing the dedicated PC servers (Seeing as how I’ll be buying two copies come release day.)……Almost. Tired of stupid kids with their party chat giving away everyone’s position while I am trying to be somewhat tactical seeing as how I had a stealth kit set up specifically for S&D

I for one hate this but I can totally see why they did it it is kinda cheating.

You can stay in party chat, my friend and I found a loophole where you can start a “chat” at a certain point of online play and it doesn’t boot you.
